Principal

Mike Clement is a founding partner of Property Design. He leads project creation and oversees the market research, studies and analyses that are used to create informed decisions on matters of project design, feasibility and market posturing. He also directs site acquisition, zoning & entitlement initiatives, project lease-up, management and disposition.

With nearly 30 years of experience in commercial real estate valuation, Mike has assisted investors, financial institutions and government agencies with a myriad of property types including apartments, medical and professional office, industrial and retail projects, single-family subdivisions. Multi-family projects are a specialty noting his in-depth involvement with more than 10,000 MF units in proposed, existing and value-add projects of all types across central Arizona.

As a former Vice President and Area Manager with Bank of America, Mike was responsible for all commercial valuation activities in Arizona and New Mexico. He served for six years on the City of Mesa Board of Adjustment and recently completed a six-year term as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the City of Mesa, Arizona.

Mike holds a B.S. in Marketing from Arizona State University and an MBA (finance) from the University of Oregon. Mike is a certified general appraiser in Arizona and a MAI Designated member of the Appraisal Institute. He is also a principal of SITUS Valuation Group.

John is a founding partner of Property Design. He oversees all phases of project design and construction from concept to delivery.

John was a pre-construction manager at McCarthy Building Companies for ten years. He was then a Director of Development & Construction for BASIS Independent Schools, and later Director of Development & Construction for Highmark School Development. During his 5 year tenure at BASIS and Highmark, John executed successful projects in more than 10 states and jurisdictions including New York City and Silicon Valley. John is also skilled with green building concept integration and is known for his ability to effectively navigate the construction process to ensure a smooth and timely product outcome. He works with our architects and engineers to value-engineer each project for cost savings, quality control and the maximization of its market potential.

John holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University and attended graduate school at University of Arizona for Economics where he studied residential real estate trends in the greater Phoenix area. John is a licensed general contractor in Arizona and principal of Pine Management.
